EZE TALK BOOSTS TAL’S EXPANSION IN RESIDENTIAL BROADBAND MARKET

TAL Secures New Deal with Eze Talk Residential to Expand Residential Broadband Sector

On Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, Telecom Acquisitions (TAL) announced its latest success in securing home broadband customers through a new deal with Eze Talk Residential. This partnership will see TAL acquire Eze Talk Residential’s base of 2,800 residential customers.

CEO Nigel Barnett expressed his excitement about the deal, stating, “ISPs and network providers like Eze Talk have found that servicing residential connections is time-consuming and resource-intensive. At TAL, we have a proven formula for success, backed by numerous positive reviews and a high Trust Pilot rating.”

Eze Talk Residential, a subsidiary of Eze Talk Group, has been a prominent player in the B2B sector for 22 years. Their traditional telephony base, including lines, calls, broadband, and BT services, will now be transferred to TAL.

Barnett also shared his personal connection to the acquisition, saying, “Eze Talk was instrumental in helping us establish our residential sector 13 years ago. It means a lot to us that they have shown trust in our ability to take over their residential side. There are many synergies between our companies, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship even further.”

Eze Talk Managing Director Mike Walsh also commented on the deal, saying, “Residential business was our main focus in the early days, but as markets evolve, we decided that B2B was a more sustainable route for the future. Nigel has made a name for himself in our industry, and we have confidence in his ability to continue providing excellent service to our customers.”

The Eze Talk deal, combined with TAL’s organic growth of 2,750 new residential connections in May, has set the company up for further expansion in the upcoming summer months. This expansion has been further boosted by a new marketing deal with City Fibre, which will see a door-to-door campaign across its entire network over the next six months.

Barnett shared the success TAL has had with acquiring residential bases, citing OpenFibre in Hull, where their base has quadrupled in just eight months, and No One Internet, where their base has increased by a third in just three months.

TAL, the holding company for Home Telecom, Fleur Telecom, and Eclipse Broadband, is also actively negotiating with other prominent altnets for further expansion opportunities.

“We are always open to discussing new opportunities and partnerships,” added Barnett.
